Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November the 18th of November, 1985, located in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix realized early on that she had an aptitude for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial trial she took the sport, she finished second for 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school and signed a professional deal with the sports company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She was consistently within the top three places of every event.
