Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is an actress and model. Her debut in a feature film was a small part on the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte on Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was invited by a photographer, who asked her to take on the role of model. Then she began her career as a commercial model. Doody strove to avoid glamour and nude roles, that was a rule she incorporated into her acting. After catching the eye of the director of casting in the upcoming James Bond movie, she was cast in A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was selected as one of the twelve most promising young actors in the year 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody, who was only 18 at the time she portrayed Doody in the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke, is the youngest Bond girl who has a name to her. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her most memorable role to date as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors who have portrayed James Bond. In the year 1991, Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. She later moved to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal She went on to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody played a role in the 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony in recognition of an award. The roles she played include an appearance in a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust and the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. In 2010, Doody played a role on Danny Dyer's feature film The Rapture (2010). In 2011, she was to be the main character for The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. In November of 2018 she received the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award and received a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
